Old Tyme Day

It's that time again! Sharing quilting with the third graders at Lewisville Elementary. Thanks Bonnie for being my sidekick today and bringing your amazing antique quilts! It's a special day for the kids...and it's fun to watch their little minds at work :) Admittedly I miss LES...it's a great school full of wonderful teachers who always find creative ways to engage the kids in learning new things.

During Old Tyme Day they have numerous stations through which the kids rotate and have hands-on activities, such as candle making, tin punching, butter making, quilting...a one room schoolhouse, blacksmithing (demo) and much more. All part of their early American history studies. What fun!
