It Finally Snowed!!!!

Well...just a little.

Our only snow of this winter fell just enough to be pretty and I was able to skim enough clean snow to dye about 8 yards of fabric!

Beats buying ice to get the job done :)

Snow!!

I remember having them growing up in Virginia, but I can't remember one since I've lived in North Carolina...a White Christmas came to us!! It poured all day and through the night. Beautiful!!

The boys spent a good bit of yesterday out in it sledding, building snow forts, and having a snowball fight between our yard and the neighbors to the side. I stayed in and made hot chocolate :)  And...preparations...

Today it's my turn to play in the snow!
Results in a few days.....I think I'm going to like this winter. We rarely get this much snow and never this early! I'm thinking I'll get a good bit of snow dyeing done this winter.

Let It Snow!

Since I live where it rarely snows, I have had to satisfy my wish for a white Christmas by playing with virtual snowflakes...and it is FUN! Mrs. Goodneedle found this neat site Make-A-Flake where you can "cut" your own "paper" snowflakes. How cool is that?
I think I'll have to go and make some real ones with my kids...they're wishing for a white Christmas too!
Blessings of the season to you all!
